The overall intent is to create a simple way for donations to be made that will be used to help aviation dreams come true for young people. A person (or surviving family) now has an opportunity to pass along their love of aviation by establishing their own memorial scholarship.
HOW TO ESTABLISH A SCHOLARSHIP
The simple answer is: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the "High Flight Aviation Scholarship" in memory of ( your loved one) .
There are two types of scholarship funds - designated and undesignated.
Designated - With a designated fund the donor may participate in choosing the recipient, although the ultimate choice will be the responsibility of the Candler Field Museum panel . In order to establish a designated fund a minimum of $5,000 must be given.
The Undesignated scholarship will be placed in the overall fund and the money distributed to deserving applicants, once again selected by the museum panel. 15% of each established fund will be used to support the Candler Field Museum Youth Program
